NZGA Membership comes in two forms: Ordinary Membership and Associate Membership.
Ordinary membership is for NZ Game Designers- individuals or companies responsible for the invention of games. It has an annual cost of $50 for individuals and $150 for companies.
These designers are expected to be predominantly supporting NZ-designed games which have been commercialised or are intended to be commercialised in the foreseeable future.
Associate membership is for Games Retailers, Distributors, Graphic Designers, Printers & Print Brokers. It has an annual cost of $25 for individuals, $25 for retail stores and $100 for companies.
Retailers and Distributors are expected to stock or distribute a reasonable number of NZ games.
Graphic Designers, Printers & Print Brokers are expected to be involved with the production of NZ games.
Please note: Associate membership is also open to aspiring inventors who don’t yet have a published game. This is to encourage those getting started and keep the entry barrier low.
Both memberships entitle you to:
- Attendance at the NZ Games Association Annual Meeting
- Eligibility to have your games listed by the NZ Games Association
- Involvement with the NZ Games Association
- Connection with NZ game designers, distributors, graphics designers, printers etc
- Advice from other members regarding the design, development, manufacture & marketing of NZ Games
Ordinary Membership further entitles you to:
- Full voting rights for the NZGA
- Eligibility to become a member of the NZGA committee
- Discounted entry into the NZGA awards
